Book Your Photographer Well In Advance

The Chinese have an old saying,
"The best day to plant a tree is yesterday, the next best day is today".

Photographers calendars fill up very quickly especially at this time of the year and for those popular dates in the summer months and other special days (Valentines, New years etc.).

So don't leave it too long to start that search for your photographer....

Meet your Photographer

This is probably your first Wedding, A professional Photographer
has done hundreds of them and has probably encountered all
the issues you are worried about, so ask him!! He will talk you
though the day and outline alternative plans if say, the weather is poor
or if you have special requests, like stopping on the way to call and see
a sick relative...

So... Meet your photographer, don't book him over the phone or by
e-mail, build a relationship with him, if he puts you at ease then he will
probably do so on the day, if you are relaxed and comfortable with him
on the day... this will be reflected in the final images... and will add to your
enjoyment of the day...

Planning Your Wedding Mistake

If you are planning your wedding you will already know that its a very expensive day; so ask yourself where you could save money and where you should not. What will people remember of your day and indeed what will you and your partner remember? Well you may well remember that special car and driver that chauffeured you for the day, but in a few years all that will fade. Your Photographs will be the single biggest reminder...think about that, you won't be able to show your grandchildren the cake, or the car or the dress without them.

Don't make the mistake of getting "uncle John, who has a good camera" to take them. Choosing a photographer because he has a good camera is like choosing a chef because he has a nice stove. Photographs are 'made' not taken and only an experienced professional will guarantee these skills.

So... Do you want to skimp on this......
